We are a congregation of the Uniting Church in Australia and believe the Congregation is the embodiment in one place of the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church, worshipping, witnessing and serving as a fellowship of the Spirit in Christ. Its members meet regularly to hear God’s Word, to celebrate the sacraments, to build one another up in love, to share in the wider responsibilities of the Church, and to serve the world. (Basis of Union, Paragraph 15 (a))

The Uniting Church in Australia is the third largest Christian denomination in Australia. In Queensland, the Uniting Church has around 250 congregations and a number of schools, colleges and community services such as UnitingCare Queensland and Wesley Mission QueenslandWe belong to the Moreton Rivers Presbytery within the Queensland Synod. The nation council of the Uniting Church in Australia is the Assembly and has responsibility for national policy, governance and doctrine.

WHAT WE BELIEVE
Anchor 3

The Uniting Church’s beliefs are drawn from the Bible and from the Apostles’ and Nicene Creeds. The church also takes heed of the Reformation Witness in the Scots Confession of Faith (1560), the Heidelberg Catechism (1563), the Westminster Confession of Faith (1647), the Savoy Declaration (1658) and of the preaching of John Wesley in his Forty-four Sermons (1793). It affirms the place of ongoing theological, literary, historical and scientific study. The church’s foundational document, the Basis of Union, brings together aspects of these writings and traditions and sets out the church’s way of living and being.
