About the event

The purpose of the Forum is:

  • To raise awareness of homelessness in our local community and the reasons for this growing experience for many people
  • To raise awareness of the impact of homelessness on vulnerable people in our community
  • To prompt conversations on what role our Community and Church could play in this context and how we might take action.

Micah Projects is committed to working towards ending homelessness in Brisbane through systematic change and helping one person, one family at a time.

Communify provides housing and homelessness support services through HART 4000 to offer help to those who may be homeless or at risk of becoming homeless in Brisbane through personalised support, assessment and referral to other services.

Rev David Baker is a minister in the Uniting Church, serving in Congregations, Presbytery leadership and as Moderator of the Qld Synod. His current role as General Secretary of Queensland Churches Together equips the Christian Church to engage with significant issues in the public forum.
